Sites like Project Vote Smart, On The Issues, iVoteValues, Easy Voter, and The Ballot, provide a wealth of non-partisan information on voting and candidates (including biographies, issue positions, voting records, campaign finances and interest group ratings). Another way to access voter information for your state is to use a search engine (i.e., google or yahoo) and type in "voter guide" or "voter information" along with key words like "pro-family" or "Christian" and the name of your state.

Liberty Counsel provides this very useful chart and article regarding what pastors and churches can do politically. They also provide links to non-partisan voters guides and an article on how churches and non-profit organizations can distribute voters guides.
Religious leaders often overly restrict their speech and actions because they simply don't know what they legally can and cannot say or do. Print out the Alliance Defense Fund's Pastor Guideline Letter to educate Christian leaders on their broad U.S. constitutional right to speak out. Consider adding a personal note of encouragement to your pastor or priest to not keep silent on the divisive issues facing our culture.

A Christian Voter Intimidation Letter from Americans United for Separation of Church and State is an example of efforts to intimidate Christians and churches from being involved in the election process. This article examines a letter sent to pastors and churches in 2006, which attempts to intimidate them.
